Frozen Spirit Lake

Winter can be the absolute worst, for just so many reasons. Just so many reasons. And I could tell you all those reasons for at least seven paragraphs of writing, probably more. However, if there's one thing that the absolute worst, most freezing time of the year has over all of the other wonderful, warm seasons, it's the opportunity to trek across a body of water that has frozen over, eighteen inches thick. Introducing the trek across frozen Spirit Lake, in northern Idaho. There may have been a few a few steps where I definitely thought I was going to go under, and my feet might've frozen a little bit, but it was a wonderfully beautiful experience that I would do all over again in a sixteenth of a heartbeat.
